Our guest speaker at the Metter Kiwanis Club was Mrs. Angela Carlyle, Guidance Counselor at the Metter Middle School.  She came to the Kiwanis Club to speak to the members about Metter Middle School′s B.U.G. program.  MMS has established the "B.U.G. Club"' which encourages students to "Bring Up Grades."  After each marking period, each student will set goals to improve his/her academic performance during the next grading period.  A student will be recognized for a grade increase of 5 points or more in any core academic area.  This recognition does not include connection classes.  In order to be a B.U.G. Club Member, the improved score must be passing.  Super B.U.G. students will be recognized for a grade increase of 5 points or more in any core academic area and passing each core academic class.  The Metter Kiwanis Club sponsors the B.U.G. program.  Mrs. Angela Carlyle is shown with Kiwanian Shane Hadden.
