Today we had Richard Price, General Manager of Pineland Telephone speak to Local Kiwanians. Price elaborated on some of the projects going on at Pineland. He stated that Pineland has a new logo that is going to be visible on vehicles, newsletters and stationary. He said the company felt the need to have a more modern look for the future. Pineland is involved in shortening the subscribers loops in order to provide some of the service offerings now.  This will allow more people to have access to high speed data and also upcoming entertainment services. Pineland will offer triple play to the subscriber as early as 3rd quarter of 2005. This includes telephone, high speed data and IPTV.  The TV offering will provide about 150 channels of TV and 40 music channels.  This is all done over the subscriber's existing facility of one pair of wires.
