At the February 19th meetng of the Metter Kiwanis Club, Candler County School Superintendent Dr. Tom Bigwood updated the club on the progress of the Candler County School System.  Among the highlights of the program were the launch of the new and improved system web site, the system wide meeting of Adequate Yearly Progress standards, and the announcement of Metter Indermediate School receiving the 2006 Silver Award for the greatest gain in percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards.  Shown above are Kiwanian Eddy Jones and Dr. Bigwood.
