The program speaker for the Metter Kiwanis Club this week was Mrs. Angie Daughtry, Executive Director of Family Connection. She came to speak to the club about The Bridge which is a community based collaborative set up to help the needy funded by businesses, churches, individuals, and the United Way. Mrs. Daughtry also spoke about the BOYS & GIRLS Program of Candler County. The Children Youth and Families at Risk grant or CYFAR grant funds the BOYS Program and the Promoting Safe and Stable Families grant or PSSF funds the GIRLS Program. The programs include the after school program enrichment on Tuesday afternoons with an academic portion on Thursdays.
