Rhonda Hendrix came to speak to the Kiwanis club about the growing problem of identity theft. She shared with the group about some of the techniques identity thieves use and ways to protect from becoming a victim. Identity thieves use the mail system, internet, and phone calls to try to steal personal information. It is important that you never share personal information with anyone that you did not initiate the contact with. If you feel you have been a victim ask for help from someone you can trust such as your banker, attorney, or credit bureau agency.
